The Samsung SL102 digital camera is a sub-compact camera, which can be bought by first time users. It has advantages like default quality settings of the picture. Cameras of some other brands do not have such features. You have to adjust brightness etc before taking the picture or else the picture would come out very bright or red. But this Samsung camera provides you with the facility of not adjusting anything. Its default quality settings feature enables you to take pictures that are bright enough even when you use the flash. The result is still good. It has an easy to use program mode and still enough controls for amateur photographers. The size is also very handy. You can carry it in your purse without it occupying much space. Also, you do not have to install any software to download pictures. You can just plug it to your computer or laptop and view the pictures or download them. It can be easily connected to your television set too. The LCD screen is also quite big so if you do not have access to a computer or TV, you can view the pictures on the camera’s LCD screen.

But when you zoom-in, the picture quality is not so good. They appear as if they are taken through fog. The objects are vague and not very sharp. Another problem is the response time. After taking one picture you have to wait for a few seconds to take the next picture.

However, for the price, the Samsung SL102 camera is very good. If you are looking for a cheap camera for regular use, this could be the one.
