Samsung L100

For the price at which it is available, this is not a bad bare bones compact camera. The L100 is priced well below others in its class. However, what it lack in features, it makes up for in quality. Samsung does make some quality products and this little compact camera is no exception.
The camera itself is functionally designed for the average user. The first thing you will notice is that the mode selector is on top. This makes it easier to get to the selection you need and there’s a less chance of it getting snagged on the corners of your camera case.
There is an oversized zoom tab at the back, which is logically placed to allow for faster zooming abilities. Just a little push up or down and you are in full control.
It has a rather disappointing 2.5 inch screen that is smaller than others in its class. Because of the lack of optical viewfinder, it becomes a little more difficult to get your scene together. However, owing to its smaller screen size, the Samsung L100 isn’t so cramped for space on the backside. It has a bigger function and menu button; so it’s easier to use this popular feature.
One more cool feature that isn’t available on most cameras is the little tutorial guide. When you scroll through the settings, it provides you with a little guide that explains the different features. This helps you decide what setting to use and takes care of the intimation factor.
Overall, this is a nice compact camera if you just want a no-frills powerhouse. It is great for beginners who can get confused with extra features they don’t need.
