Kodak Easyshare M1033

The Kodak Easyshare M1033 is a very well rounded, ultra compact, point and shoot camera. It features a 10 mp, 3x optical zoom, intelligent scene detection, which detects and analyzes scene conditions and has intelligent capture control, which automatically sets the camera settings, and intelligent image processing, which reduces noise and makes for some good photos even in the dark.

The Kodak Easyshare M1033 is HD capable. It captures very nice HD quality photos and videos. The cool thing about this compact camera is the accessory dock that you get, which helps you view those HD shots on your HDTV.

The buttons for the options like flash, mode selection, shutter, and power are flush with the top of this compact camera. This brings the package together for a nice, slim, and clean look.

Another cool feature of this Easyshare is the 22 scene mode, which takes only seconds to switch into. Of course, you get the average portrait and landscape, but you also get some cooler settings. These include panorama, panning, and blur reduction.

The one thing that I have found about this camera and that greatly disappoints me is the HD recording. The picture turns out good until you start to move around. It has a lot of lag time. This is also evident while zooming in video mode, which is a consistent flaw with most compact cameras.

Overall, I think this is a great economy class point and shoot. As regards the money, it is definitely worth it. Even if the HD video is less than par, it is still something of value for the price range within which it is available.
