Canon announced its range of 12 megapixel cameras in 2009. Almost all of them are in the Power Shot series. The camera in this review is the Canon Power Shot SX200 IS. It is the company’s first attempt at launching a pocket size super-zoom camera.

The camera is fairly lightweight for a device having the vast number of features that it has. It is being sold for $329.99 by Canon. The camera has a unique design wherein its flash pops out of the main body as soon as it powers up. Many users may find this undesirable especially in situations where they don’t need a flash. They would ideally want to let the flash sit in its place when they are not using it.
